Sharing God's Love in South Africa

God has called His people to go and to share the good news of God’s love to everyone around the world. Bethany Community Church believes in this and offers multiple opportunities for mission trips. In 2017, one of the missions trip is to South Africa.

The mission trip will be headed to Polokwane, South Africa to support our missionaries located there - David and Carol Beakley.  They are our missionary partners who have been in South Africa since 2002. Dave is the Principal and Academic Dean of Christ Seminary, where he teaches biblical languages, Bible study methods, preaching, and various books of the Bible. He also serves as an elder and pastor of Christ Baptist Church, where he shares in preaching, teaching, and discipling.

Carol maintains the home and has many opportunities to teach and disciple women. She has a teen girl Bible study in the home, runs a ladies Bible study during the week, and holds several discipleship groups involving both teens and married women.

During our time in South Africa, we will be coordinating a Vacation Bible School for Modimolle Christian Church, located in Modimolle, South Africa (about 90 minutes from Polokwana). This church is pastored by a former student of the Beakleys. During our time there, we will also be serving lunch for everyone.
