Craftiness is Happiness

The craft team came up with five crafts for each day of Vacation Bible School for the kids in South Africa. They are simple and creative. The children our going to love them for sure, so I decided to share them with you!

Day 1

Lesson: Jesus loves the Lost. 

Day 2

Lesson: Jesus Takes Away Sin

Day 3

Lesson: Only Jesus Satisfies

Day 4

Lesson: Jesus Has Power Over Death

Day 5

Lesson: Put Your Faith in Jesus

As the South Africa team prepares for the trip, we are in need of supplies for Vacation Bible School and Salon Day. Here is what we need:

• Multi-color -Tissue Paper
• Construction Paper - colors should be multi-cultural skin tones (peach, tan, brown, etc.) and Red
• 4 roles of Painter's Tape - 1 inch thick
• Yarn
• Pretend Play Fish and Bread (lesson)
• Cool Duck Tape - 10-15 rolls
• Kids Glue Sticks - 100
• Faith-Style foam stickers - 1,500-2,000 stickers

For Salon Day-

• Nail Polish
• Toothpicks
• Emery Boards
• Nail Polish Remover
• Cotton Balls
• Lotion

Please bring these items to the Welcome Center on Sunday, June 11/18 or on Wednesday, June 14/21.

Prayer Request 

• Pray for the VBS, as this community has never participated in a VBS before. 
• Pray for the community's heart to be open to God's love. Also, pray for God's love to shine through the teaching, music, and other activities. 
• Please pray for all the last minute details of the trip to fall into place as we prepare for the Mission Trip.
